An exploration into CNC manufacturing, modern business and the element of surprise.

In my final year at at university I wanted to tackle something I hadn't yet experience at university. This lead me to working with CNC manufacturing to produce a large piece of furniture with a hidden surprise.
What resulted was a table that mixes business and pleasure. Push in the sides of the coffee table to light up the hidden game below.

Using a reflective tint, the side with the greatest source of light is reflected back. LED strips embeded inside are turned on once the sides are pushed in, flipping the reflectivity to reveal normally concealed Foosball below. Utilising the CNC process I was able to construct this with only one sheet Ply with little to no waste.
